Do you ship to foreign countries?
Yes, we ship to most countries outside of the USA. We will be happy to quote for shipping and insurance costs to most foreign destinations.
Will you lower the declared value of a shipment going outside the USA for tax purposes?
No, we cannot lower the value on shipments where we are engaged as the shipper.
Why does it cost so much to ship to foreign countries? My friend sent me a shirt that cost half as much in shipping costs.
We are a business that is well aware of our legal responsibilities to a customer when we are engaged as the shipper. We only ship using the most reliable, expedited shipping services that provide full tracking and full insurance with swift delivery, and we ship our merchandise in custom-made boxes designed to withstand any number of possible shipping hazards, not in light-weight envelopes.
I don’t need insurance or swift shipping, so will you find me a cheaper shipping option and ship using an envelope?
Sorry, no. The shipper is ALWAYS responsible for safe delivery of the goods to the recipient and we will not expose ourselves to such liability by using inferior shipping services and containers. Additionally, if you should elect to return the merchandise for some reason, inferior packaging could easily result in damage to the merchandise that would void the insurance.
How much tax and customs duty will I have to pay on a shipment valued at $500 delivered to my country?
It is the customer’s responsibility to ask their governing agencies any questions such as this, as we cannot possibly know the laws of every country in the world we may be asked to ship to.
Can you tell me the exact day I will get my merchandise?
If the item is not in stock and an import, no. ALL import items must clear U. S. customs before they come to us. Once they are in the hands of U. S. customs, a black hole of sorts exists until U. S. customs releases the goods to us and we have them in our possession; any information we may provide would be purely speculative. Naturally, once we have the goods in our control, precise delivery dates can be provided if guaranteed shipping services are elected by the customer. Obviously, if the merchandise is in stock, we can provide the customer with precise delivery dates, but only if guaranteed shipping services are elected.
What kind of guarantee will I get if I request a guaranteed shipping service?
Our shipper of default is UPS Ground and they provide guaranteed delivery within a specified number of days to destinations in most parts of the continental USA and Canada. You do not need to payextra for UPS Ground to be guaranteed, but as with any guaranteed shipping service, the guarantee is limited to a refund on ONLY shipping costs, not the insurance portion of the total shipping charges.
We can also offer expedited guaranteed shipping services via UPS, Fed Ex and the USPS (all at an extra charge), but the guarantees are all similar in the event of delivery failure. Most guaranteed shipping services are excellent, but it is always best to plan ahead rather than rely on any guaranteed shipping service, as no guaranteed service is going to give you a free trip to the islands or sacrifice a virgin in the event of delivery failure.
