New Buzz Rickson’s Products & Sizes for fall/winter 2011.
NEW and UPDATED: Buzz Rickson's mega-popular loop-wheeled sweatshirts will see several changes from fall 2011 forward. These fabulous vintage-styled fits will get even better, with shoulder seams being moved inward about 3/8" per side, the upper arm between shoulder and elbow will taper even more than in the past (about 3/4" more), and the loop-wheeled all-cotton fabric is slightly decreasing in weight by about 1.5 ounces. All colors and sizes we are currently sold out of will be replenished with the NEW sweatshirts, so any of the soon-to-be older shirts still in stock here are the last of their kind ever to be offered. And the NEW shirts will also be available in a new muted salmon-like vintage red color and will also retail at higher prices due to both the ever-weakening U. S. dollar and the increased cost of cotton worldwide. Images of the NEW shirts should be appearing on our web site later in September 2011.

NEW: Buzz Rickson's will again offer its very popular Superior Togs USAAF B-10 Jacket with berry-colored knit, along with the Rough Wear Clo. Co B-10. These B-10's are must-haves for those who love the USAAF cloth-shelled, alpaca-lined flying jackets, and the product detailing and quality is, as always, not to be beaten by any other manufacturer. Each of the two styles copy a specific wartime contractor's B-10 with all the subtle nuances that have made Buzz Rickson's famous, including spec. labels in the neck area that bear the name of the original contractor and not Buzz Rickson's. New stock should arrive in late September or early October and advance orders are always welcome.

NEW: A 1930's - 1940's civilian aviation/motoring jacket in gorgeous, durable, full-grain buffalo hide with luxurious fur collar. Riding on our success last year with Buzz Rickson's Civilian Aviation Coat, we have another new style this year. Buzz Rickson's built quite a reputation for offering some of the finest leathers you will ever hope to see and this new coat punctuates this observation to the extreme. Colors are black or brown and images have now been posted to our web site, with delivery expected in September - October 2011. This is one of our favorite pieces in this year's collection, but quantities are very limited so please order early to avoid disappointment.

NEW William Gibson Collection apparel for fall/winter 2010: Following the overwhelming success of Buzz Rickson’s “Pattern Recognition” Black MA-1 Jacket (back again for an 8th season!), we are pleased and proud to announce the Black MA-1 now in a modified tailored fit produced in a regular version and a version made with a longer body to please those who prefer something a bit longer than the original MA-1. The "William Gibson Collection" is for those who prefer all the styling and detailing of a superior-grade military jacket design in a non-military color, and lacking the military insignia markings. Every article of clothing produced with the “William Gibson” label is personally specified, approved, licensed and endorsed by Mr. Gibson as being the real deal he knows Buzz Rickson’s is famous for, which he so glowingly wrote of in “Pattern Recognition,” and now crafted in a color both he and Cayce Pollard are proud of. The marriage of the Buzz Rickson’s and William Gibson labeling is your personal guarantee of complete product satisfaction in quality, durability and authenticity. Images of the MA-1 are now on our web site.

NEW: A spot-on copy of a very rare USAF Experimental Test Sample L-2 Jacket in brownish nylon. Vintage examples are extremely scare and they sell quickly whenever they turn up, both due to extreme rarity and the great, classic styling. This great-looking jacket style has never been reproduced by any other manufacturer in the world we know of and Buzz Rickson's outdid themselves on this baby. Images are now posted on our web site and advance orders are being accepted for September 2011 delivery.

NEW: Due to the crazy success experienced with our prior offerings of Buzz Rickson's USAAF A-2 Jackets produced from their exclusive Bronco Hide, we teamed up again this year with Buzz to collaborate on a fabulous copy of the rare WWII A-2 Jacket once produced by United Sheeplined Clothing Co. of Long Branch, New Jersey. Buzz Rickson's limited-edition A-2 leather flying jackets. Photos of this limited-edition A-2 style is found on this web site and advance orders are being accepted now for delivery in late September; we've already sold through half of our stock of size 44's, so please don't delay to avoid disappointment.

BACK again: We are pleased to announce that size 46 is back in stock again in Buzz Rickson’s USN 1944 N-1 Khaki Deck Jacket. This style has continued to be a standout performer in all sizes.

BACK for a 4th season: Buzz Rickson's will offer again in fall 2011 the all-time classic U. S. NAVY Pea Coat of the 1930's! This is the real deal, folks, the coat type issued and worn by all WWII U. S. sailors and NOT the flimsy, light-weight garbage that has been the staple of the U. S. NAVY since the late 1950's or the fashion designs found everywhere today that masquerade as Pea Coats but lack the original warmth of the coat that won WWII. Those familiar with the coats made back in "the good old days" know how heavy and tightly woven the melton wool shell is on the original coats and how the wool doesn't get fuzzy nor did it wear down easily, as do all the cheapo coats made on modern looms and sold at dumbed-down prices to dumbed-down consumers. Well, you can expect the Buzz Rickson's Pea Coat to mirror the 1930's coats because of the brand's revered dedication to crafting only quality and, when possible, utilizing old sewing machines and looms from the first half of the 20th century. The old machinery makes a huge difference in the final product and a huge difference in the cost of the goods, hence the reason you won't find Buzz Rickson's in shopping malls or Walmart or even the big-name catalog outfitters . The Buzz Rickson's coat will function in biting-cold temperatures as did the coats of WWII, and it will have all of the correct styling details of the old coats, including the correct rayon lining, bakelite-style anchor buttons and USN property labels, plus it will look superb because it's styled from the sleek form found on the old coats which fit so much more flatteringly than the make-believe Pea Coats omnipresent today. Sizes available will accommodate chest measures up to 44". Roll up the boarding ramps and anchors aweigh - grab these while you can!
